Zgornja Besnica is a settlement in central Slovenia. It lies in the hills to the east of the capital Ljubljana and belongs to the Ljubljana Urban Municipality. Traditionally it was part of the Lower Carniola region. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
